Large Enterprises (a Generic Company)

A Generic Company under the amended codes of good practice is an enterprise with annual  turnover of more R50 million.

The Department of Trade and Industry published the amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice on the 11th of October 2013, effective the 1st of May 2015. A Generic Company with an annual turnover of more than R50 million per annum is measured against the Generic BEE Scorecard as gazetted in October 2013.

 

All Generic Companies undergoing verification are required to use all 5 elements on the amended BEE Scorecard:

  • Ownership

  • Management Control

  • Skills Development

  • Enterprise and Supplier Development

  • Socio-Economic Development
